"You're like Mr. Rogers because you talk about ideas and feelings, but you cuss a lot. I like that."
I have worked closely with people from a broad range of political, economic, and cultural backgrounds, those who identify as LGBTQ+, as well as folks from more traditionally rural backgrounds.
My counseling approach focuses on examining how learned cognitive and emotional patterns are a problem for clients. With that understanding, we work together to identify and change those patterns.
A Gen X-er raised by a cattle family in SEK, my journey has taken me many places including small towns, villages in Africa, and to NYC where I was a chaplain working at Ground Zero in 2001. I was an Episcopal priest before becoming a clinical counselor. I've been married to an ICU nurse for over 20 years and we have 2 young adult children
